Kirthi Jayakumar works on feminist approaches to tech governance; women, peace and security; feminist foreign policy; tech geopolitics; and conflict transformation. She runs Civitatem Resolutions, which works on digital peacebuilding by nurturing community, building ethical containers, and creating constellations of knowledge.
Kirthi served as the coordinator for the UN Women AI School and now serves as the Head of Community Engagement at World Pulse, where her work centres on building feminist tech that enables change-making and digital leadership.
Aside from this, Kirthi is part of Women 7, an advisory group to the G7 on Emerging Technologies. She focuses on the impact of AI’s emergence on the WPS Agenda, geopolitics, and gender-based violence. She makes the case for a decolonial, ethical, feminist approach to engaging with emerging technologies.
Kirthi runs the CRSV Observatory, which documents conflict-related sexual violence. She is currently pursuing her PhD at Utrecht University.
