Civil Society and Climate Action Conference

GPPAC South Asia organised a conference on the subject of climate change, highlighting the activities being undertaken by civil society, particularly women and youth.

While one regional paper flagged the various South Asian governments position with regard to climate change, another regional paper outlined the nature of civic action across South Asia.

Individual country reports addressed the diverse impacts of climate change and highlighted how local communities actively participate in addressing these challenges. The urgent issues of climate change and security concerns across all eight South Asian nations were also discussed.
